Is This A Silly Waste of Money?

In a few days, I’m going to buy an imitation Victorian Pocket Watch. It’s a copper-coloured half Hunter with Carpe Diem carved into the back. It’s good-looking and only costs twenty pounds, but the money would come out of my birthday money, of which I don’t get a lot. Is this a stupid impulse buy or a nice idea as I love eccentric objects?

and when not in use, i have it in a small dome
glass, with a small hook in the top for it to hang, and its on a wood base,
was less than £5 from ebay, and it looks great sitting out

do you have another use for the money?
would you appreciate that more than the watch?
would you have whatever you buy as long as you would the watch?

sometimes buying something like this gives us so much pleasure, its worth the sacrifice

other thing to do would be to try and earn the money
have a “pocket watch fund” and save for it
that way you would appreciate it even more as you have worked hard for it and know the true value
