hi can anyone help i have an old pocket watch movement dated ad 1826 with a signature s florjed no2180 (the signature could read floyed) i have done a search on net but am unable to find any information relating to this. thankyou
Unfortunately I don’t know anything about Pocket Watches and I just looked for a better subcategory to ask your question, maybe… there’s someone in category cars&transportations, subsection Rail who’s fond of old trains and attributes.(Pocketwatches were used very often in the old days of trains.)
Google shows me countless sites of people collecting those watches, have you tried taking photo’s of your watch and sending Emails to such sites/forums ?
If no.2180 is a serial or product number, it should be known somewhere.
